In Q4 2023, Liberty Hive along with Work Research, commissioned the largest media survey to date into what employers and employees really want in their career.

Rather than join the surface debate around the optimal number of days in the office, we felt it was important to dig deeper when it comes to understanding the attitudes and perceptions of people working in the media industry.

The study surveyed over 750 employees and employers from a range of agencies, media owners and clients. The research highlighted a number of disconnects between employees and employers. These disconnects include employees wanting a more ‘rounded offer’ whereas employers think salary is the top factor in deciding on a job role. Flexibility is important but it isn’t the key deciding factor for a career choice.

This research gives us real insight into what’s important to people and will allow us to make sure we’re making the best connections for our candidates and our clients.
